His most important series were: 'Don Quixote', 74 plates, Cadell & Davies 1817. The BM has two sets of proofs before and with letter, which are now kept together in a portfolio 166.d.13 (1858,0417.64 to 211).

Just two years after the completion of Robert Smirke's grand Greek Revival building in the early 1850s, Charles Barry, joint architect of the Palace of Westminster, proposed roofing over the courtyard with sheets of glass supported on 50 iron pillars.
