Summer Fields. Summer Fields is a boarding and day preparatory school for boys aged 4 to 13. It has a strong academic tradition, winning more than forty scholarships and awards over the last five years. Facilities are outstanding with a huge range of sports and activities for the boys to enjoy both during the week and at weekends.
Summer Fields started its long history as a school in 1864 with seven pupils (nine if we count the Maclarens' daughters). Rapid expansion meant more masters, two of whom married the Maclarens' daughters: the Revd Dr Charles Williams married Mabel in 1879, and the Revd Hugh Alington Margaret in 1885.
