Tento filmový agent hvězd stříbrného plátna a hollywoodský producent, který pomohl na vrchol hereckým legendám jako Henry Fonda, Marlene Dietrich nebo Ingmar Bergman, se narodil v severočeských Teplicích v dobách Rakouska-Uherska v roce 1902.
Paul KOHNER (n. la 29-an de majo 1902 en Teplice - m. la 16-an de marto 1988 en Los-Anĝeleso (Kalifornio)) estis bohemdevena, usona filmproduktoro. Li alvenis al Holivudo en 1920, kaj estis antaŭe ĵurnalisto en Prago. Li estis rimarkita de Carl Laemmle dum intervjuo, kaj estis nomumita kiel la estro de la eŭropa sekcio de Universal Pictures.
Paul Kohner wurde von Carl Laemmle, dem Gründer von Universal, auf einer seiner zahlreichen Europa-Reisen entdeckt. Laemmle nahm Kohner 1921 mit nach Hollywood und förderte ihn.
