23 de ago. de 2019 · Sinatra Sings Alan & Marilyn Bergman features songs by the esteemed, Academy Award winning songwriting duo, including the title track from Sinatra's 1960 Grammy-nominated album, "Nice 'N' Easy."
In 1963, however, all three Reprise releases, Sinatra-Basie, The Concert Sinatra, and the gold-selling Sinatra's Sinatra, made the Top Ten. The onset of the Beatles in 1964 began to do to the LP charts what Elvis Presley had done to the singles charts in 1956, but Sinatra continued to reach the Top Ten with his albums of the mid-'60s, albeit not as consistently.
The Bergman songs were made for Sinatra and his kind (Jack Jones, Eydie Gorme, Matt Monro, and I enjoy his vocals even now. Sinatra Sings The Songs of Alan and Marilyn Bergman is my 60th Sinatra cd, plus I have many tapes and a few vinyl from my teens when he was becoming so spectacularly successful. Yes, I love this cd.
