Between 1796 and 1819, the couple’s enormous love was blessed by ten sons and six daughters. Few of their sons gave service to the nation by being General, Admiral, and Captain.

He entered the army and obtained his first commission in 1744. He served in the Seven Years' War, being aide de camp to Prince Ferdinand at Minden and later to the Count De Lippe in Portugal.
