The woman in the above photo is Lady Dorothy Lygon, known as Coote or Poll. As I say, the photo was probably taken in 1932. In 1931, her father, Lord Beauchamp, had been forced to leave Madresfield Court. Lord Beauchamp was actively gay, having sex with Madresfield footmen and living openly with a man when he holidayed abroad.

Brief Life History of Elizabeth. When Elizabeth Lygon was born before 1510, in Madresfield, Worcestershire, England, her father, Sir Richard Lygon, was 19 and her mother, Margaret Greville, was 12. She had at least 2 sons and 3 daughters with Thomas Curzon. She died on 11 May 1567, in her hometown, at the age of 11564.
