25 de mar. de 1993 · The emergence of Théophile Delcassé as foreign minister in June 1898 ushered in a new period in foreign policy and in the administration of the Quai d’Orsay. Delcassé not only completed the work of his predecessors relating to the Franco-Russian alliance, but he was also involved in creating the new political alignments inherent in the Franco-Italian and Franco-British rapprochements .
