The short version of the story goes like this: Whitney’s father, John Houston, had an affair with Graves and got her pregnant. Houston and Graves agreed that he would raise their daughter. Dee Dee Warwick, a Grammy-nominated artist who sang backup vocals for Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin, is the sister of Dionne Warwick.
