Mary Seymour (30 August 1548 – c. ? [citation needed]), born at her father’s country seat, Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire, was the only daughter of Thomas Seymour, 1st Baron Seymour of Sudeley (brother of Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII), and the dowager queen, Catherine Parr, widow of Henry VIII.

Mary Seymour. Mary Seymour was the much wanted child of Katherine Parr, from her fourth marriage to Sir Thomas Seymour. Queen Katherine moved to the delightful Sudelely Castle in summer 1548 to prepare for the birth of her child, and there are several letters between Katherine and Thomas, looking forward to the event.
