6 de feb. de 2007 · No wonder he was such a celebrated Don Giovanni. I find the more mature Siepi sound after the 70s more affective and particularly suitable for noble roles like King Phillip but even early on he was a totally convincing royalty. The bel canto roles however benefit here from the prime state of his warm, dark voice. No weak link in this recital.
