Rodrigo Prieto Stambaugh es un cinefotógrafo mexicano, nacido el 23 de noviembre de 1965, en la Ciudad de México. Nieto de Jorge Prieto Laurens, antiguo alcalde de la Ciudad de México, quien emigró a Estados Unidos por diferencias políticas, Rodrigo creció en la Ciudad de México, de padre ingeniero en aeronáutica y madre artista.
