The Fugs est un groupe américain de rock underground, originaire de New York. Il est formé en 1965 par les poètes Ed Sanders et Tuli Kupferberg , avec Ken Weaver à la batterie. Ils sont rapidement rejoints par Peter Stampfel et Steve Weber des Holy Modal Rounders.
Founded in early 1965, the Fugs have performed and issued albums and CDs for the last 35 years. The Fugs were long active in the anti-war movement, as in the photo above, a big peace parade in the spring of 1966. Allen Ginsberg, not shown, was right next to the Fugs for Peace banner.
