1st Earl of Harrowby (1809-1847) Born 1762 Died 1847 Dudley Ryder, the eldest son of Nathaniel Ryder, 1st Baron Harrowby (1735-1803), was born in London on the 22nd of December 1762.
Politician. Born in the Hanover Square area. Good friend of Pitt the Younger, being his second in Pitt's duel in 1798. 1809 honoured with the title Earl of Harrowby. Lived at (what is now) 44 Grosvenor Square; Walking in Mayfair says he was here 1804-47. Dudley Ryder, 2nd Earl of Harrowby, KG, PC, FRS, styled Viscount Sandon between 1809 and 1847, was a British politician. He held office under Lord Palmerston as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster in 1855 and as Lord Privy Seal between 1855 and 1858.

12 de feb. de 2019 · Dudley Ryder, 1st Earl of Harrowby was born on 22 December 1762. 1 He was the son of Nathaniel Ryder, 1st Baron Harrowby and Elizabeth Terrick. 1 He married Lady Susan Leveson-Gower, daughter of Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Marquess of Stafford and Lady Susanna Stewart, on 30 July 1795. 1 He died on 26 December 1847 at age 85. 1
