John Lyon (b. 21 August 1996) is a European Composer with a writing style mostly influenced by the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras, as well as the Golden and Film-Noir ages of Hollywood. More rarely, he produces electronic music. Note: The following is a short selection of commissioned and original solo music by John Lyon ©.
John Lyon was born in the gray slums of old Glasgow, Scotland, on 4 March 1803, to Janet McArthur and Thomas Lyon. [2] Years earlier Thomas had ceremoniously forsaken the family farm in nearby East Kilbride, gone “a ‘soldiering” to the romantic West Indies and returned ailing, to eke out a poverty existence in urban Glasgow.
The John Lyon Charity. The John Lyon Charity was formed to distribute funds from the lands originally owner by John Lyon. Since 1991, John Lyon’s Charity has distributed over £156 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life-chances of children and young people through education.

John Lyon Sr., 85, of Champion, passed away at his home on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023. He was born Sept. 25, 1938, in Niles, the son of Roscoe and Nina Day Lyon, both deceased. John has owned and operated many businesses and retired from the last, Green Oakes Potting.
