Allene Tew beleefde de ‘American Dream’. Zij trouwde jong met een excentrieke miljonairszoon en hertrouwde maar liefst vier keer. Ze werd dan ook wel 83 jaar. Maar stierf eenzaam aan de kust van de Franse Riviera. Annejet van der Zijl kwam deze bijzondere vrouw op het spoor door haar studie van het leven van Prins Bernard.
