John Francis Reuel Tolkien (16 November 1917 – 22 January 2003) was an English Roman-Catholic priest and the eldest son of J. R. R. Tolkien. He served as a parish priest in Oxford, Coventry, Birmingham, and Stoke-on-Trent.

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, conocido popularmente como J.R.R. Tolkien, nació el 3 de enero de 1892 en la ciudad de Bloemfontein, en el Estado Libre de Orange (actual Sudáfrica).
