Charles Beauclerk, Duke of St. Albans (1670-1726) Born: 8th May 1670. at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Westminster, Middlesex. Duke of St. Albans. Died: 10th May 1726 at Bath, Somerset. Charles was named after his father, King Charles II. He was born in the house of his mother, Nell Gwynne, in Lincoln's Inn Fields on 8th May 1670.
Beauclerk was the eldest son of the 10th Duke of St Albans and a godchild of Queen Victoria and Albert, Prince of Wales. He was educated at Eton and afterwards joined the 1st Regiment of Life Guards as a Second Lieutenant in 1893, becoming Captain of the South Nottinghamshire Yeomanry in 1898 and later serving with the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Scots Regiment .
14 de nov. de 2021 · By marrying Lady Diana, in 1694, the 1 st duke of Saint Albans was emulating his half-brothers who also married great aristocratic heiresses, and usually took on their surname (and in fact subsequent heirs of the Duke would be called De Vere Beauclerk, and added the very simple De Vere pattern to their coat of arms).

William Beauclerk, 9th Duke of St Albans (grandfather) Osborne de Vere Beauclerk, 12th Duke of St Albans (16 October 1874 – 2 March 1964) was a British peer and Army officer. He was styled Lord Osborne Beauclerk from 1874 to 1934.
