James Stewart (c. 1260 - 16 July 1309) was the 5th Hereditary High Steward of Scotland and a Guardian of Scotland during the First Interregnum. Origins He was the eldest surviving son of Alexander Stewart, 4th High Steward of Scotland (d. 1283), by his wife of unknown identity.

Sir James was the eldest surviving son of Alexander Stewart, 4th High Steward of Scotland (d. 1283), by his wife of unknown identity. I have found only "All genealogists concur in saying that Jean, daughter and heiress of Angus Macrory, or M‘Roderick, Lord of Bute, was married to Alexander, fourth High Steward" was likely her name and last name, but it is very unclear.
