Heinrich Gotthard von Treitschke was a historian and political writer in the German Empire. Born in Dresden, Treitschke studied in Leipzig, Bonn, Tübingen, and Freiburg and worked as a professor of history and politics at Freiburg, Kiel, and Heidelberg.
