The amount of emotion and expression he was somehow able to convey even with the limitations of the prosthesis and makeup is just phenomenal.

6 de may. de 2024 · While you could argue that The Man Who Laughs is an ensemble, Conrad Veidt is magnificent as Gwynplaine who is almost Shakespearian despite the absence of sound. Mary Philbin is wonderfully gentle as Dea while Cesare Gravina is humble and compassionate as Ursus.
