The College of Valor Bard presents itself as a gish-like option for Bards and does succeed at meeting the basic requirements: proficiencies in Medium Armor, Shields, and Martial Weapons. Just reading down the subclass features, it would be very easy to dismiss it as not doing enough, but that is somewhat short-sighted.
27 de dic. de 2022 · Whispers Bard is actually pretty awesome. DnD is more than just combat and being able to use the Mantle of Whipsers ability to get information on a big bad is very good. Not only that but multiclassing the Whisper Bard with a Hexblade helps mitigate any issues you may have with combat while at the same time adding more depth to role-playing.

Bard is, in my option, one of if not the strongest class in DnD 5e. The Subclasses do contibute to this power considerably though some of the are noticable weaker than others, ie whispers and valor. This is just to bring each subclass up to the level of Eloquence and Lore to make every subclass worth playing. Design
