Since 1995, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon course has remained the same with the entire race, taking place in San Francisco. Several similar races have come and gone since the early 1980s, the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon continues to grow and remain a bucket list race for triathletes from around the world.
