This is my review of Absentia, a mystery / thriller movie from 2011.
Plot Absentia. De serie vertelt het verhaal van FBI-agente Emily Byrne die tijdens het jagen op een van Boston's beruchtste seriemoordenaars spoorloos verdwijnt en dood wordt verklaard. Zes jaar later wordt ze gevonden in een hut in het bos, nauwelijks levend en zonder herinnering aan de jaren dat ze werd vermist.

While all of the concepts are not quite fully realized, Absentia has wonderful performances from Catherine Parker and Courtney Bell that make this relatively simple plot much deeper. It's not Mike Flanagan's best movie, but it shows his ingenuity and impressive story telling.
