The Chronicle of Abingdon records that "Walterus filius Oteri, castellanus de Uuildesore" restored "duas silvas·Ä¶Virdelâ ¶ et Basceat, apud Winckefeld nostram villam" to the abbot of Abingdon, dated to [1100/16], and that "uxorem suam Beatricem cum filio suo Willelmo" effected the transfer 8 Sep[740].

Biography. Walter was the son of John FitzWalter, 2nd Baron FitzWalter and Eleanor Percy, the second daughter of Henry Percy, 2nd Baron Percy.
