John William Polidori puede que no llegase a ser un gran escritor ni mucho menos una persona sobresaliente, pero sí vivió una gran aventura junto a un gran poeta inglés del siglo XIX como lo fue Lord Byron. Me imagino lo difícil que le resultaría a Polidori figurar o por lo menos salir detrás de las sombras de aquel gran poeta.

23 de jul. de 2020 · John William Polidori (1795-1821) est un écrivain italo-anglais. Il est notamment connu pour sa nouvelle le Vampire (1819). Pour écrire ce texte, Polidori est parti d'un brouillon de Lord Byron écrit en Italie lors de l'été qu'ils ont passé ensemble, avec le couple Percy et Mary Shelley en 1816.

21 de feb. de 2017 · John William Polidori (1795–1821) is credited as the creator of the modern vampire story and the fantasy subgenre. Polidori received his degree as a doctor of medicine at the University of Edinburgh, and soon afterward, he became the personal physician of writer Lord Byron.
