17 de may. de 2024 · Isabel Clara Eugenia fue la primera hija del matrimonio de Felipe II con Isabel de Valois. Nació en el Palacio de Valsaín en agosto de 1566, la pareja tuvo otro hija, Catalina Micaela, nacida al año siguiente. Ambas hermanas se quedaron huérfanas de madre cuando, en 1568, falleció al dar a luz a su tercer hijo.

The marriage of Isabel Clara Eugenia (1566–1633) to Albert of Austria and her designation as sovereign princess of the Low Countries marked a turning point in the depiction of her public image.
