Levin August Gottlieb Theophil , comte von Bennigsen, né le 10 février 1745 à Brunswick dans la principauté de Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel et mort le 3 décembre 1826 à Banteln dans le royaume de Hanovre, était un officier allemand qui fut général russe pendant les guerres napoléoniennes.
Von Bennigsens Eltern mit ihrem Sohn. Von Bennigsen entstammte dem Adelsgeschlecht Bennigsen. Er war ein Sohn des Generals Levin August von Bennigsen und seiner vierten Ehefrau Marie Leonarde (geborene von Buttow[t]-Andrzeykowicz, 1788–1855). 1818 kam er mit seinem Vater nach Hannover, wo er das Ratsgymnasium besuchte.

18 de jun. de 2024 · Levin August Gottlieb Theophil, Graf von Bennigsen (1745 – 1826) was a German general in the service of the Russian Empire. Bennigsen made a name for himself in Russian history as the man who fought Napoleon Bonaparte with distinction at the Battle of Eylau; but, suffering from ill-health, he was then defeated at Friedland several months later.
