Dochter van Willem graaf van Nassau (1487-1559) en Juliana gravin van Stolberg (1506-1580). Catharina van Nassau trouwde op 17-11-1560 in Arnstadt met Günther graaf van Schwarzburg (1529-1583). Dit huwelijk bleef kinderloos.
