Caroline de Hesse-Darmstadt. Caroline de Hesse-Darmstadt (2 martie 1746 – 18 septembrie 1821) a făcut parte din nobilimea germană. A fost fiica cea mare a lui Ludovic al IX-lea, Landgraf de Hesse-Darmstadt și a soției acestuia, Caroline de Zweibrücken. La 27 septembrie 1768 s-a căsătorit cu Frederic al V-lea, Landgraf de Hesse-Homburg .
Frederika Luisa byla známa svou velkorysostí, a to zejména vůči těm, kteří ji potřebují. Od roku 1788 trávila léta v Bad Freienwalde, kde byla často navštěvována svými dětmi a vnoučaty. Tím výrazně přispěla k hospodářském a kulturnímu rozvoji města. V roce 1799 jí tam postavil letní palác David Gilly.
