Jakob I ( engelska: James I ), född 19 juni 1566 på Slottet i Edinburgh, död 27 mars 1625 på Theobalds House utanför Cheshunt i Hertfordshire, var kung av Skottland (som Jakob VI) 1567 – 1625 och kung av England 1603 – 1625. Jakobs föräldrar var kusinerna Maria I av Skottland (Maria Stuart) och Henry Stuart, lord Darnley.

The "of England" suffix reflects the unfortunate mutilation of his name by NCROY. The low number of hits for the phrase "James I of England" tells us only that the RS doesn't follow NCROY.
