Percy Bysshe Shelley Poeta inglés Nació el 4 de agosto de 1792 en Field Place, cerca de Horsham (Sussex). En 1802 escribe su primer poema conocido, A cat in distress. Su padre lo envía a la Syon House Academy de Brentford, donde pasa dos años.
En 1826, après le décès de Charles Shelley, fils de Percy Shelley et d’Harriet Shelley, Percy Florence devient l’héritier du domaine des Shelley. Sir Timothy augmente alors l’allocation annuelle de Mary de 100 à 250 £, mais demeure toujours aussi difficile [97].

On 24 April 1844 Sir Timothy Shelley died, leaving his estate and title to Percy Florence Shelley; but in the following year two blackmail schemes against her came close to crushing her spirit. Near the end of her Continental excursion in 1843, Mary Shelley had befriended in Paris a down-and-out Italian political exile named Ferdinando Gatteschi.
