George III. Mother. Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Portrait of Augusta Sophia. Princess Augusta Sophia (8 November 1768 – 22 September 1840) was second oldest daughter of George III and Queen Charlotte. She never married and had no children. She died at age 71 in 1840.
