Henry VII, Duke of Bavaria. Seal of Henry VII. Henry VII (died 16 October 1047) was the count of Luxembourg (as Henry II) from 1026 and duke of Bavaria [1] [2] from 1042 until his death. He was a son of Frederick of Luxembourg, count of Moselgau, and possibly Ermentrude of Gleiberg . In 1026, he inherited Luxembourg from his uncle Henry I.
Maximiliana never married and lived at the court of her brother William V, Duke of Bavaria. William V provided for her care, granting her an annual allowance of 6,000 guilders. She and her sister Maria Anna , the consort of Charles II , orchestrated the marriage of their niece, Maria Anna , with Ferdinand, Archduke of Inner Austria .
