10 de may. de 2024 · Set cemetery. Sophia of Nassau (Sophia Wilhelmine Marianne Henriette, Swedish: Sofia; 9 July 1836 – 30 December 1913) was Queen consort of Sweden and Norway. Sophia was Queen of Sweden for 35 years, longer than any other Swedish queen before her. She was the longest serving queen until 2011 when she was surpassed by Queen Silvia.

Fort Charlotte is the easiest to walk to, Fort Fincastle has panoramic views, and Fort Montagu is the oldest fort. Each of these historic sites is worth a visit.

Martinsburg Castle was built at the end of the 13th century as a base for exercising the customs rights of Mainz. Since 1292, the Elector and Archbishopric of Mainz had secured shares in the Boppard imperial customs with the permission of King Adolf of Nassau.

Der junge Oranier starb bei der ersten Schlacht des 80-jährigen Krieges in Heiligerlee und soll damals in der ehemaligen Großen Kirche zu Emden bestattet worden sein.

28 de may. de 2024 · Die Ostfriesische Landschaft plant eine groß angelegte Untersuchung des Untergrundes der Johannes a Lasco Bibliothek in Emden. Grund dafür ist die Suche nach den Gebeinen des Dillenburger Grafen und Freiheitskämpfers Adolf von Nassau (1540 bis 1568).
