14 de may. de 2024 · Celebrating the games of the XXVIII Olympiad in 2004, 108 years after hosting the inaugural Olympiad, Athens actually utilized a number original venues that were found in Ancient Greek Games. The Panathenaic Stadium is a bit of an interesting one because it was originally constructed as a resource in 144 AD and was reconstructed for the first Olympiad in 1896.

The 2004 Olympic Games in Athens were to be the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad. The first Olympiad of the Modern era was in 1896.
