From Jackson, it is a 60-mile drive to the south entrance of Yellowstone and takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes (95 miles, 2.25 hours to Old Faithful). 9:30 am: Old Faithful. Old Faithful is the world’s most famous geyser.

Delivered in 1980, the brick-front homes include a number of special touches, including built-in bookcases, hardwood floors, moldings, and ample closet space. It provides access to recreation areas managed by six federal agencies, including National Parks. It also provides the pass owner a discount on some amenity fees, such as camping. As of May 2024, the cost of a lifetime Senior Pass is $80.

On the latter, we’ll mention the most visited of our national parks in NC shortly. Covering 469 miles, 252 miles–over half!–of this well-known winding drive is in North Carolina.
