  3. 8 de may. de 2024 · Max Ernst (born April 2, 1891, Brühl, Germany—died April 1, 1976, Paris, France) was a German painter and sculptor who was one of the leading advocates of irrationality in art and an originator of the Automatism movement of Surrealism. He became a naturalized citizen of both the United States (1948) and France (1958).

  4. 1 de may. de 2024 · Several of the images towards the end are from Maximiliana or the Illegal Practice of Astronomy, an art-book that Ernst created in 1964 which features the curious hieroglyphic figures that proliferate in his drawings and paintings from this period.
