2 de dic. de 2011 · After CBS canceled Gunsmoke in 1975, Taylor got serious about Western history, in his acting and in his art. He became obsessed with looking authentic in his acting roles. “It got so when I went in to get my wardrobe, they’d lay off me,” he recalls. “They’d say, ‘He knows what he wants. Just let him pick it.’”.
Walter Clarence "Buck" Taylor, III (born May 13, 1938) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as gunsmith -turned- deputy Newly O'Brien in the CBS 's television series Gunsmoke (1967–1975).

Buck Taylor was born Walter Clarence Taylor III, on May 13, 1938, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor, Jr. His father, also known as “Dub Taylor,” was one of cinema’s most prolific supporting actors. Taylor was born in the year his father got his first role in the film ‘You Can’t Take It with You.’
