"Blended" lectures (live and via zoom silmultaneously) are held and broadcast from the British Institute library on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, while visits are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

  3. Simon comes to the British Institute after a 30 year career with the British Council, most recently as Country Director in Poland. Simon studied History and English at Cambridge before training as a teacher at the University of London. Soon after graduating, he moved to Florence and taught at the British Institute for two years.

  4. Our General English courses offer a comprehensive approach to the English language, one that covers all four core skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. These courses are practical and allow students to speak and use the language right away, but also to acquire a solid grasp of grammar so that they can progress from year to year to the next level.
