Exeter College is a general further education college in Exeter, Devon; it was first such college in England, and was the highest-ranked in the country in 2017. The college has its origins in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum , founded in 1869, and first became an independent institution in 1893 as the Exeter Technical and University Extension College.
Sue Temple (left) and Anne Oxborough OBE (right) were heavily involved in the founding of the IB at Exeter College in the 1990s. "One of the things that I think is really good - blowing the College's trumpet for a moment - is that it's kept the IB going when various other colleges and schools have dropped it," says Anne.
Exeter College’s Sports. The students also compete at a university level on the varsity teams in rowing, rugby, hockey, netball, and cricket. In 2010, Exeter College won the men’s intra-university cricket division and in 2014 they defeated St Catherine’s College 2-1 in the Football Cuppers tournament final.
