If it would be heart attack or something like that, then it wouldn't be that hard to say. I'd tend to think,from the skewed perspective of an elite powerlifter (who has a foot on the gas pedal) ,a banal gear related cardiac death of a fellow competitor puts himself and his sport in a worse light than a violent ,semi-heroic death in the line of duty.
