To therefore get the opportunity to appear in a film at such a young age, it really was a dream come true.”

5 de feb. de 2024 · Meet Ayako Fujitani, a talented Japanese actress and author. Born in Japan, Ayako has made a name for herself in both Japanese and international films. Beyond the glitz of Hollywood (and being the daughter of Steven Seagal), she’s also a skilled writer. Her memoir, “Tokyo Boogie-Woogie,” gives us a peek into her life in Tokyo and Los Angeles.
The latter is the story of the relationship between a man and the girl he has raised in his cellar. Along with writer and director Hideaki Anno, Ayako co-adapted her novella Touhimu (Flee-Dream) into the film Shiki-Jitsu in 2000. It was the first non-animated feature released by Studio Ghibli under the Studio Kajino label.
