  1. Hace 4 días · Henry Stafford was born on 4 September 1455, the son of Humphrey Stafford, Earl of Stafford, and Margaret Beaufort. His father, Humphrey Stafford had been a Lancastrian supporter in the early stages of the Wars of the Roses and had died in 1458 of wounds acquired at the First Battle of St Albans, whilst fighting for the cause of King Henry VI .

After Stafford’s death and sometime before 1473, she wed Thomas, Lord Stanley (afterward 1st Earl of Derby), who in 1485 helped her son Henry Tudor obtain the throne.
