Eumir Deodato de Almeida ( Brazilian Portuguese: [ẽwˈmiʁ deoˈdatu]; born 22 June 1943) is a Brazilian pianist, composer, arranger and record producer, primarily in jazz but who has been known for his eclectic melding of genres, such as pop, rock, disco, rhythm and blues, classical, Latin and bossa nova.

About Eumir Deodato Keyboardist Deodato worked as a session musician before recording under his own name, and in the mid-'60s enjoyed a productive alliance with João Gilberto and Astrud Gilberto. In 1972 he released a funk adaptation of Richard Strauss’ classical piece "Also Sprach Zarathustra."
