Philippine Welser (née en 1527 à Augsbourg, morte le 24 avril 1580 au château d'Ambras à Innsbruck) était la fille d'un grand bourgeois d'Augsbourg ; elle fut l'épouse morganatique du fils cadet de l'empereur Ferdinand Ier et d'Anne Jagellon, princesse de Bohême et de Hongrie Ferdinand de Habsbourg, archiduc d'Autriche et comte de Tyrol.
Philippine Welser (Augusta, 1527 – Innsbruck, 24 aprile 1580) fu la moglie morganatica di Ferdinando II d'Austria Governatore del Tirolo.

As refuge for his secret wife, Philippine Welser, Archduke Ferdinand II. built Ambras Castle on the foundations of a medieval fortress. At Ambras Castle today, visitors get a chance to experience the world of the 16th century, the legendary life of the lady of the castle, as well as the veritable treasure trove of what is the world’s first museum.
