Rachel Roberts studierte an der University of Wales und absolvierte im Anschluss ihre Schauspielausbildung an der Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. 1951 machte sie ihr professionelles Bühnendebüt, zwei Jahre später war sie in der walisischen Komödie Valley of Song erstmals in einem Kinofilm zu sehen.

Biographie. Actrice britannique, Rachel Roberts débute au théâtre, avant d’être repérée au cinéma dans Filles sans joie (J.L. Thompson, 1954). Elle continue à tourner alternativement pour le cinéma et la télévision et retrouve le succès avec Samedi soir, dimanche matin (Reisz, 1960).
