The role of a Headmaster's wife is vitally important in a boarding community such as ours. Sandroyd is, at its core, a family boarding school. We joined the school in September 2016 with our two young daughters, Hattie and Isla, and have since become part of a wider family that consists of over 200 boys and girls.
1888 to Present Day. Sandroyd was founded in 1888 by the Reverend L H Wellesley Wesley. Initially based at Sandroyd House in Cobham, it was a small coaching establishment for boys who were due to go to Eton. From these humble beginnings, the school grew rapidly. We were inspected in February 2023when the ISI carried out a Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection.
