The first studio release of the '90s by the Flying Burrito Brothers, EYE OF THE HURRICANE, was recorded in 1991 but not released until 1994. By that time, interest in the group had been renewed by the burgeoning alt.country scene, which took many of its ideas from the first few Burritos albums.

Eye of a Hurricane is the 6th studio album by The Flying Burrito Brothers, released in 1994. In the early 1990s, longtime Flying Burrito Brothers members John Beland, Gib Guilbeau, Sneaky Pete Kleinow and Chris Ethridge teamed up with Australian rock legend, Brian Cadd and former Elvis Presley drummer, Ronnie Tutt, to form a brand new version of Burritos.
