Nydia toured with Vicente Fernandez and Juan Gabriel and performed at the White House during the Clinton presidency. You can hear Nydia and Juan Gabriel’s duets on her album Nydia.

At the age of 20, Nydia's third album, Si Me Conocieras, was nominated for a Latin Grammy award. Soon afterwards, she embarked on several national tours with the late Mexican superstar, Juan Gabriel. This collaboration led to her fourth album, Nydia, in which Gabriel graciously sang two duets and recorded background vocals.
After becoming the primary vocalist with the all-female Mariachi Reyba de Los Angeles, Rojas signed a solo contract with Arista Latin; her self-titled debut LP was issued in 1997, when she was just 16-years-old. Si Me Conocieras followed two years later. ~ Jason Ankeny
