Historie. Skupina vznikla roku 1963 a stala se neustále se měnícím uskupením hudebníků. Za dobu působení Bluesbreakers bylo rozličných kombinací muzikantů více než 100. [1] První singl, který John Mayall se svojí skupinou vydal, měl na straně A skladbu Crawling Up a Hill a na straně B Mr. James. Na trh přišel v květnu 1964.

In 1988 Mayall's regular road band version of the Bluesbreakers released the seminal Chicago Line in 1988, his first studio-issued U.S. album in close to a decade. When RCA formed its blues imprint Silvertone in 1990, Mayall was one of the artists they had in mind.
